There is something awesome that happens when two visions align – for example, and #MyHairStory. But it is truly spectacular when multiple visions collide to create an effervescent display of colour, sound and beauty all with a resounding purpose, and that purpose is to Inspire. Empower. Connect.

We chose the ULP Center in Midrand because we found a venue where the passion to unleash leadership potential (ULP) is at the center of everything. It is a delightful event space, with gorgeous trees and plenty of space for something like a… natural hair market, perhaps.

It is an unlikely gem in the middle of a whole lot of agricultural land in the middle of Midrand, but on the other side of those high walls, is a garden venue, ample secure parking and conference halls where you can hear some of the stunning influencers, who will be gracing us with their wisdom (Joan of Jems of a Natural, and Yolanda from Yols Channel, to name a few), rotating throughout the day. While you shop to your crowns content, eat, commune with fellow naturals and let the kiddies play.

We were also drawn to the ULP Center in Midrand because it is home to the Every Girl Has a Dream Foundation, which focuses on upskilling young women with social skills and creating an inspirational environment where successful women can impart insights gained through experience to teenagers and young female professionals. It is also the home of Leadership Conversations hosted by Maurice Radebe, and has hosted the likes of Phuti Mahanyele (CEO of Sigma Capital) and Hixonia Nyasulu (the Chairman of Sasol Ltd) to name a few.
In a space that is positioned to empower dreams and unleash potential, we think this is the best place to introduce #MyHairStory to Johannesburg in a spectacular way!

Join us on 5 May 2018 at the ULP Center for the #MyHairStory : A Natural Hair Affair, at its debut in Johannesburg. Click here to get your ticket!
