I always freak out a little bit whenever I have to do the #StyleChallenge on the group I co-created, Cape Town Naturally. I am usually a wash n go, bun or pineapple kinda natural so the style challenge always gets me out of my comfort zone. Last week was my turn and I took things easy by starting off my week with a light blow out. I used a new brand called Afro Pride.
I love that the brand is made locally. It’s enriched with shea butter and interestingly enough, boabab oil. My favourite product in the range is the hair butter which comes in a small tub but really packs a punch. The shampoo and conditioner also comes in small packaging but a little goes a long way. I have way to much hair though ??
I started off with #DianaRossVibes
On Monday night I spritz my hair with some detangler, used the hair butter and slept with two braids. This was the result on day 2 – #WhatToDoWhenYourTwistoutIsAFlop aka #BeachWaveVibes
Separated my hair, twisted the top into a knot using some shea butter, brushed out the the bottom with a Tangle Teezer (my new favourite toy), added a gold leave band (because you know I love gold) and this was the result – #AfricanQueenVibes
This is co-wash day in my world and the style challenge was no exception. I call this look
I think that the final day was definitely my favourite. I tend to always end my style challenge week with a good old wash n go. What better way to celebrate #FroFriday
I call this one #Bossiekop
Yes, my #Bossiekop vests will definitely be available at the Cape Town Natural Hair Fest ranging in sizes S M & L
Online ticket sales have closed but we will be selling them at the door. Hope to see you all there. In the meantime…
