Hello, my name is Mandy and I am a chocoholic. I am also addicted to coffee. Sometimes to increase my high, I consume the two together. Of course I am writing this post munching on a Beyers caramel bear! I mean the first time I heard Chocolate High by India.Arie I thought she was singing about her love for coffee and chocolate….
“My black coffee with sugar no cream in the morning
You’re my super double caffeine dream yeah…
Your flavor is the sweetest thing in life
I’m addicted to your chocolate high”
With that confession being out in the open, can you imagine my surprise when I found out that the Coffee & Chocolate Expo is finally launching in Cape Town this month?! The event takes place at the Green Point Cricket Stadium on the 24th and 25th of September 2016.
It will offer you a Mardi Gras experience with a Pairing Theatre where you will be able to pair your chocolates with your whiskeys, wines, beers and liqueurs – oh please just take my money now! You could also get tips at the Daily News Experience which is a chocolate workshop sponsored by Beyers or enter into the Steampunk Experience, which is home to the coffee theatre.
What really excites me about this expo is that it is built around local vendors.
Sugarlicious – One of over 60 vendors – Macaroons and gourmet ice cream… I can’t even…
If that isn’t enough to seal the deal, the Coffee and Chocolate Expo also gives you theCocoa Mokka Music Lounge where you can chill to the sweet sounds of The Voice SA winner, Richard Stirton, The Kiffness and Freshly Ground among others. If you are a coffee and chocolate nutcase such as myself, I have 2 tickets to give away. One for the Saturday and one for the Sunday (worth R100 each). If you would like to win a ticket, answer the following question in the comment section below:
Where in Cape Town is the Coffee & Chocolate Expo being held?
